your wingman for wherever you go

the right line.
for the moment you're actually in.

snap the situation: a café in lisbon, a bar in tokyo, a date across the table. wingua reads the room and hands you the exact lines to say, in the local language, at the right level of formality.

built for 40+ countries · 12 languages · tested in bars, cafés, and awkward silences.

how it works

snap the scene.
wingua reads the room.
you get the lines.

three steps. the whole thing takes about eleven seconds, which is roughly the time it takes to finish a small beer and decide whether to actually go over.

01

snap the scene

a menu, the bar, the table across from you. wingua pulls venue, crowd, body language, country, context. all the things you were already reading but couldn't act on.

02

wingua reads the room

your wingman inside the app. gives you the vibe, what matters culturally, and what to skip. warm, sharp, a little playful, the energy you want before you walk over, never stiff or salesy.

03

you get the lines

opener, follow up, what to say if the convo moves. in the local language at the right level of formality, with a cheat sheet for pronunciation and a one tap copy. no flashcards. no homework.

you actually end up in.

a rotating stack of moments. each card is a real opener pulled from a real session, in the language and register that lands in the room.

what you actually get

a coach in your pocket,
not a flashcard deck.

reads the vibe

photo in, situation out. crowd, venue, body language, country, context. the wingman brief reflects what you'd see if you were sober and twice as experienced.

tuned to the country

40+ cultural packs. paris is not porto. tokyo is not seoul. the lines, the register, the follow up: calibrated per place, not translated from english.

voice practice

hear it before you say it. playback in the native accent, slowdown toggle, and a mic check that tells you if your "¿" landed before you walk over.

live coaching

the conversation moves, so does wingua. paste the reply you got back, get the next line tuned to how it's going. less a script, more a shoulder tap.

i spent four years half learning french and it never helped me actually talk to anyone. one weekend with wingua in lyon and i had three full conversations. the second one ended in a number.

faq

the honest questions.

does it work offline?
partially. your last 50 sessions, pronunciation audio, and the core phrasebook per country are cached for the plane. new photo scans need signal: the model reading the room is too large to live on device. we tell you up front when you're on cache.
is my photo stored?
no. photos are processed, then discarded within seconds. we keep the text briefs locally so you can replay a session. nothing about your scan ever trains a public model.
what languages are you shipping?
twelve at launch: spanish, french, italian, portuguese, german, dutch, japanese, korean, mandarin, arabic (levantine + maghrebi), turkish, greek. we add country packs every quarter; the roadmap's public.
isn't this just google translate?
translate gives you a sentence. wingua gives you the scene, the register, what to skip, and what to say next. translate is a dictionary. wingua is a friend who lives there.
is the voice mine, or a preset?
preset, always. native speakers recorded the core phrasebook; everything else is synthesized to match the regional accent. we're not cloning anyone's voice, yours or a stranger's.
who is wingua?
the wingman inside the app. warm, confident, a little cheeky, like the friend who's been everywhere and actually wants you to win. not a textbook, not a hype guy. that's why the product is called wingua, not lingua.
